Hi Karen i don't get itchy heel but my right foot in the middle is always itching ..at first doctors thought it was athletes foot and i was treated, but it just does not go away .. they are now baffled, but it always gets worse as my lupus is active.Have you seen anyone about it and what was the result?

it is more related to sjögren , but often SLE goes together with sjögren.

Use Camphor oil on your feet , it calms down and battles the dry skin.

it helps me..

Hi, my left heel is madly itchy. It has progressed and goes through a cycle of really dry then cracks and the really bad bit is it completely peels right down to the lower levels of the skin. It is unfortunately very painful and I can hardly stand on it when its bad.

They sent me to a dermatologist who did all kinds of tests and samples then the dreaded skin patch tests which have all proved negative, oh and they have tried all the creams etc. They have never seen this not even with a lupus sufferer so I am hoping it will eventually clear up but this is 2 years down the line.

I hope to god that yours does not progress in this way, but if you want to contact me then please do, you never know two docs might actually work together if it is the same thing.

Best Wishes Helen
