Azathioprine and acne

I'm having horrible acne on my face and upper body and wonder if it's connected to azathioprine?

I am also on Azathioprine but have not had this side effect, not to say that it isnt that for you. Only sugestion I can make is see your doc.

I have taken this med for years and I have never had acne from it. Check with your DR

Thanks. I am so convinced it causes the acne that I have stopped taking azathioprine to see if it will clear up. The acne is making me depressed and I don't want to go out.

I don't think it's a good idea to stop medications without discussing it with your doctor.. There are other treatments for acne which will undoubtably help you with that problem. I really think you should see your doctor as soon as you can.
