Hi All,
Hope this finds you all well. Wanted to ask which vitamins you take to keep you topped up with energy, and that doesn’t interfere with stimulating immune system or inflammation.
Many thanks is advance 🙏🏽

Hi Gooner786
We would always recommend consulting your GP or consultant before taking any new supplements, as it is often the case that something that may be helpful for one person with lupus, may not be for another.
Kind regards

As homocysteine tends to be higher (increasing cardiovascular risk) and B12 and folate may not be as well metabolised, it is worth getting them all checked. Unfortunately you can have a cellular B12 deficiency at any serum level, and folate may be high in the absence of sufficient B12 in some people, so you can't just rely on low serum of either to indicate deficiency. B12 injections are the most reliable way to treat a deficiency as oral etc supplements can raise blood levels but without necessarily correcting a deficiency. If both folate and B12 are low, treat the B12 a little before the folate, not the other way around.
