A good day

Sunday was a relaxing day. I didn’t manage the walk I had planned with 2 good friends , we sat in o one friend’s garden instead, drinking cofffee and having a good old natter. In fact they both said they benefitted greatly too as we all never just sit we’re always looking for the next thing to do. They just sat so I wouldn’t be tempted to go anywhere. Some rare people that just ‘get it’.

The photo isn’t my friends garden unfortunately, it is Westover House where they had an open garden day.

I didn’t even have the energy for thi at so I sat under a tree wile they walked the garden.

I spent a lovely day with my friends but I have to say I really did mis the exercise, the joy of pushing to the top of a hill and the views across our beautiful island.

I do realise how fortunate I am to have some brilliant friends and to live in such a heavenly place.

How lovely, good friends are priceless. I can honestly say even my best friend doesn’t get it so yours are special. Lovely that you were able to enjoy the garden and chat and relax. I am so pleased for you. Better than any medication xxx

So glad you enjoyed your time with your friends. Being in the countryside and with the bonus of sun is so beneficial. I live opposite a Nat trust woodland and hill and it’s a life saver. Pottering (I know difficult for you at moment but I’m sure you will on some days to come) in the countryside sometimes with friends is my main activity now. A short walk even when nauseous does wonders. I also rotate afternoon tea weekly in two good friend’s houses!

I must admit it is a little less isolating now I’m older too (I’m 71). Ive had UCTD for over 20 years but my friends are beginning to have health problems - especially friends that are older!
