Hi myflowers2Yes I do. Only mine is the top of my tongue and side bit. I used to love spicey food before but can't tolerate mild or any now. Some drinks like lemonade make it sting too. Its always feels sore and my mouth is very dry is yours ?

Hi, struggling like mad with Sjorgens at the moment, I have a sore tongue and gums, an increadibly dry mouth, eyes and nose. It’s secondary to Lupus and I’m totally fed up with it tbh. Off to the dentist again today - let’s see what the latest is there. If anyone has any good tips on how to manage these symptoms then I’m all ears. Hope you find some relief Myflowers2 x

So sorry you’re suffering . The only thing that helps dry mouth but I spend a fortune as not on perscription is zxylimelts . Not sure I’ve spelt that right . Little discs you stick onto gums and they release saliva. Tongue often sore and very red too . Drops help the eyes for about 30 minutes 😭. I do feel for you xxx

I did for a while, but it's been much better with the mouth ulcers, tongue and mouth soreness since I've been tongue scraping first thing in the morning, followed by cleaning my teeth and then either cleaning my teeth after each meal or mouthwashing. I've been quite sore free for some months now. Coincidence? Maybe, but it has helped me. Hope you might find some relief soon. If you do decide to try something like I mentioned, go very slowly at first, maybe start with a mouthwash. I did use warm salty water when I first started, but now use one called Waken which is not as fierce as Listerine et al. 🙏

I find mouthwashes quite painful , even the bio ones from the MaxFax dept at the hospital

Me too, but the Waken one is fine, although probably salt water when the ulcers, soreness are already there. I have tried the chewable ones that you just add water to which are fine for me. Once I got mine under some sort of control with the tongue scraping and toothbrushing, I seem to be ok. Although that might change next week as I have a dentist appointment followed by a hospital appointment for TMJ. That might make me eat my words 🥴. Have a great day everybody 🙏

yes, especially if I am not watching my sugar intake. As soon as I get any symptoms of mouth ulcers I cut out all sugar, caffeine, alcohol.

Hi My flowers yes I suffer also on the top of my tongue and tender gums, but as a child I remember suffering with mouth ulcers and my gran used to make me rinse my mouth with salt water which helped greatly, so I thought why not try it...amazingly it has eased my sore tongue and gums, i brush twice a day with prescription toothpaste from dentist, its even improved my dry mouth although that was never severe, I suffer more with dry eyes...but its really worth a try with the salt mouth wash ...1 tsp salt in half a small glass warm water, dont rinse your mouth out on the last rinse, allow the salt to remain, I do morning and pm if its bad and then once a day..we all different so what works for me may not for others but worth a try my mouth is fine for now . xxx
