fatigue after steroid injection?

Hi everyone,

I haven’t been on here in a long long time but I need some advice!

My UCTD has been pretty well controlled for a few years on Hydroxychloroquine. BUT I had Covid around 6 weeks ago and it triggered a flare up I was given a steroid injection 4 days ago. These usually settle my flare ups. I have noticed some improvement in pain but I’ve been feeling incredibly sleepy and quite weak since the injection. I have had some sleepiness before after the injection but not to this extreme. Will this pass? Is my body just adjusting to the injection?

Hi SRiley, its possible the injection has caused it although is it possible its just your body recovering? I know personally if im not feeling great with joint pain or glands swollen i tend to get very tired and sleep more than usual and if youve had a flare from getting covid it could be that in its self causing tiredness. Hopefully it wont be much longer before you start to feel a lot better. 🙂
