I have tested positive for isolated RO52 antibodies. ANA negative.
I have Raynaud's, rashes, splinter hemorrages, tiredness, breathlessness on exertion, (ground glass opacities in lungs, waiting on a second CT) joint aches, mild gastro issues. Am I likely to have Lupus primarily, or some other autoimmune issues brewing? Anyone else the same?
Thank you

sorry you have these issues. With anti Ro and these symptoms and signs it’s most likely to be Sjogren’s, next most likely to be Lupus or even systemic sclerosis I would think. Lung, Raynaud’s, rashes, severe fatigue and mild gastro symptoms are all problems commonly associated with seropositive Sjogren’s but also sometimes with Lupus and are also common in early scleroderma. I hope this helps add to picture - although I should add that nothing is ever set in stone with any of these rheumatic autoimmune diseases.
I am only Anti-Ro 52 too. I’ve had Sjögrens for the past 13 years but have also been recently diagnosed with CTD. I’ve been experiencing very painful facial rashes and am currently on steroids and MMF to quell them. My symptoms don’t fall neatly into a specific autoimmune disease but my gut feeling is that it’s probably lupus.
I concur with OldTed. I have most of these symptoms myself plus others and over the years my diagnosis has gone from SLE to add Schogren's, CKD, ILD etc etc. as secondary to Lupus.
It sounds as though you are aware of the likelihood of gathering other AI conditions and, from what I know and my reading of the comments on this forum, it is a distinct possibility.
I would advise you to take the opportunity next time you see your rheumatologist to ask about this and get it clear in your head. I find it helps me to deal with my illness when I understand what is going on. Good luck to you 😊
