My neck glands, one side of the other, seem to be constantly sore, some times just a little and sometimes needing a lot of pain relief. Is this a sign of inflammation in my system somewhere?

Neck glands
I’m not a doctor but swollen lymph-nodes are a sign that your body is fighting infection, I’ve had lymphoma and asked my consultant one time that they were sore. She said that’s a good sign as cancer nodes are not sore which is great for me. Your glands are active and doing the work they should be doing but I’d see your doctor if you are worried.
Swollen glands can be indicative of many things, including a symptom of lupus/Sjogren's. I nearly always have swollen glands during a flare, which can be anywhere, not just neck. It usually happens symmetrically, so swollen glands just on one side might be a sign of infection.
Hi, also Isle of Wight here!! I am having the same problem at the moment, sore throat and ear tenderness, but just one side. Very strange, never had this symptoms before??
Hi there🌞
Applying heat can help.
I rang surgery this morning for a telephone consultation with dr or nurse. They said GP wants to see you this morning. Blooming typical…..you can NEVER get to see a GP at our surgery and I’m on mainland so couldn’t go. They wouldn’t do a phone consultation! I. Hope yours doesn’t get worse
Oh isn't that typical, sending healing hugs, will try the heat. Hubby wondered if I'd picked up infection, but I've been nowhere and when I do, I'm usually masked...
Hi IW. Yes. For years and years my left glands below my jaw. When I’m flaring, too tired to something or other. I have a small massage tool I bought on Amazon. It massages my entire jaw and neck. Gets the lymph flowing and it helps me. Best to you
