Woke up with this. What the ????

My husband said you just slept on your blanket and it left a mark.

I dont think so. I did push myself all week working out, and a lot of food shopping yesterday.

Anyone have something like this happen? My daughter thinks I am coming back as a whale. Lol.

Hello. I have no idea what that is! But poor you. Is it sore or tender? My only thought was cellulitis but when I googled that the pictures didn't fit. So no idea. Have you tried an antihistamine to see if it's some sort of allergic reaction? I'm grasping at straws. I hope it disappears as quickly as it came. Best wishes. Wendy

Thanks Wendy...end of day, finally calmed down. Not as noticeable. Doesnt hurt. Just wondering what it is. Lovely. Starting a new job tomorrow. Hope its not there again. I noticed my hands are swollen and red knuckles when i wake up. Is that Hughes?

Two suggestions - could it possibly be pitting oedema (fluid retention) re bizarre skin on neck? and re knuckles and hands - could it be RA or Sjögren's synovitis as I have this?

Good luck with the new job! X

Think you might be right Twitchytoes...makes sense. My RA in bloodwork came up negative, which I find truly bizarre since 15 years ago chiro did xrays and said I had early mild arthritis in my neck and back. I cant bend my fingers often, especially in the morning. And I have a trigger finger. My cousin was diagnosed with Sjorgen's.

I find it truly amazing how some many diseases overlap. It is just ridiculous.

I hope I dont get dizzy and cross eyed at work. This happens with me. County job with benefits. I really need this job. Wish my health was better.

Early arthritis in neck and back isn't RA though - it's wear and tear. I have this too. RA usually starts in small synovial joints of hands and feet i.e. Knuckles and PIP joints. It's easy to spot on x-ray if it's erosive. Otherwise Sjögren's can imitate RA pretty well but the swelling and pain is non erosive.

Hope you get through work okay. X
