Just wondering if anyone has used norethisterone to postpone periods?
I'm traveling in a month's time to a part of the world where I may have limited access to clean public toilets so I'm looking to see if I can delay my period until I'm home.
I have read a few articles that say norethisterone (the drug of choice for this purpose) is cautioned in people with lupus due to risk of blood clots. However, I don't have antiphospholipid. I will of course be asking my doctors as well but I just wanted to know if others had used it successfully. The other option, the combined pill, is even less suitable because of the estrogen.
Thanks

Yes when I was in my late 40s, I was prescribed noresthisterone for heavy periods whilst I was awaiting an ablation. I found them very helpful. I have Lupus but not APS.
