Uv gloves recommendations needed

Hi, I am uv sensitive and have to wear uv gloves when not in the house. The ones I currently get are from amazon, £5 a pair. Does anyone also need to wear uv gloves and,if so, do you have any recommendations of where to get them?

Expensive, but I buy from Solbari but try to get when they’re discounted. They’re an Australian brand so occasionally you have to wait some weeks for stock to come from Australia.

I use a lot of solbari clothing. I cannot recommend it highly enough. Especially some of their reversible hats. They are the only way that I can actually go outside. Highly recommend.

Thank you, I can no longer go into the office for work as the flourscent lights burn my skin, they even get me through 2 layers of clothes and uv gloves! Luckily I can work from home.

I am the same. The clothes allow me to be in the sun briefly , for seconds and allows me to travel in low UV in cars and trains etc but i still cannot go outside. I have a very severe reaction. Sometimes it feels as if it's only me.

Yesterday I travelled on a train wearing my sunhat. I looked quite ridiculous compared to everyone else in their bobble hats but I've got to the point where I'm beyond caring.

May I ask if your rheumatologist or team looking after you have recommended any specific treatment for it. It makes life so small and isolating. I live alone and just can't leave the house during daylight hours.

Not really other than sunblock at all times, 2 layers of clothes on the top half of me at all times when not at home, as much skin as possible covered

I can't go out even with multiple layers of clothes on. I vasodilate and collapse. They are wondering if I have a level of mast cell activation syndrome. I absolutely hate it but UV makes me so so unwell.

Hi, I have ordered a pair of gloves from them. I'll let you know I get on with them x

I got my fingerless gloves from Amazon too. When I typed in UV protective gloves I found some that are used in nail salons to protect the skin from UV lamp whilst having nails done. Although I'm saying fingerless they do cover most of the finger just leaving the fingertips. They work a treat for me.

Can't copy the link as not that cyber savvy. Here's a screenshot though. I got the coloured ones rather than all black

I also use the solbari ones. They have quite a range for different purposes and are really good but more expensive. I have tried the amazon gloves and still had problems but not with solbari. Good luck.
