my name is Jolita. Recently I was diagnosed with Lupus. I live in Gloucestershire, would like to connect with people who have the same disease like me. I feel I need a support burble of people who would understand what I am going through.
I want to claim for disability. How many of you were approved for disability / financial support? Any tips before applying for PIP? Could you recommend anyone to support to fill my application?

See lupus uk for your nearest group. They have contact info for who runs the group. I'm in Wiltshire and join Cardiff group and the new Oxford group. They are so helpful and ice learned loads. Both have zoom meetings
hi Jolita, hope you manage to find a support group near you or a virtual group, otherwise I have found this forum an excellent place full of kindly, supportive folk and I have learned loads from them (thank you all ) Re your PIP question the biggest tip I can offer is that it is not about what condition you have but how it impacts your life so spend some time making notes as you go about your daily life for a few weeks or months before even thinking about filling the form. No two people with lupus present the same, our individual experience of it is unique to us and even our own experience constantly changes and shifts - Citizens Advice may be a good place to start vis a vis finding help to fill the form. Wishing you all the best going forward x
