hi all well 2023 has started badly for me. I had Covid, for the second time, quite badly at Christmas. Following that I had horrendous pain and swelling in my right leg. After crying with the pain I managed to see a superb young doctor who sent me straight off for a D-Dimar blood test, which showed I have a DVT.
Now back on steroids and anticoagulants. I’m awaiting a scan to see how and where it is.
Just another twist in the battle that is Lupus. Has anyone else had a DVT?

I had a DVT in 2019 - a long and dismal story of having to wait 5 months to be seen by rheumatology when I was having a flare of lupus nephritis - it was extremely unpleasant. I had to inject heparin for 6 months, and still occasionally get pain in my affected leg. I don't take blood thinners now. Hope you recover quickly.
Yes, about 20 years ago, and I have had 6 scares since, in fact I had scans last week for one at my hospital and bloods, they said no to dvt in thigh but couldn't scan my calf as it has blistered, I have a massive cellulitis infection. So now on anti biotics that dont agree with me xx
Hi, I get surface clots all the time. It’s quite scary really, when they burst or travel they leave horrendous bruises. You really need to take it easy xx
