sleep issues

I have been taking hydroxychloroquine now for 3 months, started with 200 mg and now at 300 mg.

I still get night sweats and unable to sleep - wake up tired in the mornings. Also going through photosensitivity in eyes- feel whoozy going out in the sun even with glasses on

Does anyone experience this particularly the sleep issue ? Any suggestions?

Many thanks

Hi, I've been on HCQ six months.

Over the last year I have kept daily record of symptoms. I noticed things started to improve after 3 months but then after 6, I noticed a massive improvement.

Feeling a million times better BUT not yet my eyes sensitivity to light. I have to wear glasses when I use my PC to cut out the glare, and sun glasses outside when sky is white and the sun is not shining. When I open the curtains in the morning I feel 'whoozy'...

I thought with HCQ it would be all or nothing change but I think everything remains in flux back and forth it is just the equilibrium shifted. Still trying to work out the dynamics of it all.

Hoping over the winter the eye sensitivity diminishes - maybe tissues need to repair too.

Absolutely same reactions at my end too . I’ve also seen my lip colour change to blue black and skin tone getting darker. Guess with HCQS it’s win some loose some! Hope winter eases the photo sensitivity but I really want to see if HCQS will reduce the winter swelling in fingers. Take care
