I don't sleep well due to pain in my feet and hands, I don't worry about it too much, as I'm retired and can usually have a quiet day after a bad night. I usually listen to audio books on head phones so that my husband can sleep.
Last night I tried using a 10 minute meditation/deep relaxation app which I downloaded to my phone and had the best night sleep I've had this year. I feel pretty good today, which is lucky as I'm shopping with a friend for my mother of the bride outfit π
The app I used is called headspace, but there are lots to chose from.
I'm going to really focus on improving my sleep pattern for a while and see if it helps my pain and fatigue.

Great post! Sounds like your good nights sleep was well timed for your very exciting & busy day ahead. I'm sure your post will help many. I've suffered episodes of insomnia and can only imagine how frustrating it is on a regular basis. Have a truly wonderful day out. x
Great news creaky, thanks for sharing and keeping the positive vibes going!. That headspace app is the one I use and I wouldn't be without it now. He's just released a new section on pain which I'm looking forward to doing but you have to have joined to get it.
Hope you got a lovely outfit for your childs wedding coming up and continue to sleep well. He includes short meditations for sleep too. X
Yes I think I'm going to pay up and join properly. Very interest in a section for pain.
I got a lovely silver Grey Cape dress, and a hat, I don't really do hats but daughters and friends insist that it suits me. Just worried that I might take someone's eye out with it, I have no spacial awareness π
It 31st July so we have wedding fever in this house. My job is to make enough Welsh cakes for the wedding favors. I'm doing a batch each week and stashing them in the freezer. Daughters will help me cook them all the day before.
I listen to podcasts at night too! Very distracting from pain. Try Olbas Oil rubbed into your feet and hands - really eases the pain - non smelly alternative is Deep Freeze available in all supermarkets. Am going to look up Headspace - thanks
