Sorry to hear you have covid. I've had the antivirals with no ill effects. If your doctor wants you to take them I would advise to do so. A lot of people on this site have experienced a lot of difficulty obtaining them
Hi Kriss no experience of the antivirals but I just wanted to say I know people who have taken them and not had any adverse effects. I hope that you recover well xx
Hi Kriss, so sorry to hear about your miserable covid time. 🤒 I had the antivirals a couple of weeks ago with no probs whatsoever. A lot of people have trouble getting it; if you can get it, go for it!
Sorry to hear you have covid. I know of several who have lupus and have had antivirals. No side effects and they all felt much better quite quickly. Based on this andother responses what gave you to lose.
Hi - just to echo what others are saying. I had covid in April & felt poorly. I had an antiviral infusion with no side effects & an improvement in covid symptoms quite quickly afterwards. I’d definitely accept again if needed. Hope you feel better soon.
Hiya I have Crohn’s and SCLE and v sensitive to different meds. I had Covid and took Antiviral med Paxlovid 5 day treatment, no problems and u believe it helped enormously. You must start them within 5 days or can’t work. Good luck. Mozart52
Hello Kriss. I’m on week 3 of Covid. I have lupus and other AI illnesses. I had no problem with the antiviral paxlovid here in US. It helped curb the horrendous symptoms. Unfortunately I have now “rebound Covid” but for 36 hours so far it is mild symptoms. I’ve read that this can happen and most people come away from the rebound very well. Truly I would take the antivirals without a doubt. Best, Titters
I have lupus and antiphospholipid syndrome and I have been given antivirals twice. Specifically, I was given EVUSHELD (which is available in Switzerland), the COVID antibody injections because I am also immunosuppressed from Rituximab. You will be ok. Just keep communicating your symptoms with your doctor and do as you are doing and check things through. You should feel confident in your medication and body. The antibodies helped but I still had strong symptoms and needed paracetamol and codeine. I have also been allowed to take the other antiviral drugs in England, if I visit there. I was never given antibiotics because COVID is not a bacterial infection. Sending you lots of healing and calming thoughts. You will get through this!x
I'm sorry to hear that you tested positive for Covid19. I would definitely take the antiviral if you are having a bad time, but why did they tell you to take the antibiotics? All the best
Hi,bad cough,yucky phlegm ,Thanks..
Hi, I too have had the antivirals and was absolutely fine, if you are ok to take the antibiotics why not the antivirals?? They are the same kind of thing just for treating a viral infectionrather than the bacterial infection. Yes u possibly haven't taken an antiviral before but if you don't take them you could potentially become very unwell from the covid.
I know it may seem scary but I'm sure it will be fine
Take care
