Took this picture as to me it looks like pain radiating out from my hip joint! The centre being the joint and petals red waves of pain that disperse into the wind.
I feel that by taking the picture it captures the pain.
Excellent photo and poetic description to give your pain a concrete image. Just wish it could make your pain go away. It made me think of a picture for my neck at the moment. It would be a sad flower blossom too heavy for the stem trying to stay straight up.
Oh pumpkin that’s sad, how about a sunflower instead that moves it’s head to follow the sun and only hangs its head to rest.I find heat, volterol 2.2% and massage if I can stand it help the RA in my neck ( not all at the same time of course).
Thank you for your reply. I like the idea of a sunflower. I have multiple disc deformities in my neck that have been there for years. Then 2 years ago, I broke the main neck bone. Also, have cervical dystrophy. for years. The combination has made my neck weakened and totally crooked. At times it is calmer, but at times I think it would benefit from being staked up like a plant, especially when on the computer. Heat does help the most. I think my imagine could be a beautiful sunflower with a pretty painted stake propping it up towards the sun. I think your wonderful analogy is an inspiration for all of us.
I get bilateral hip pain like this as well. Great metaphor!
Just wondering when you will eventually do the hippy hippy shake, what band will be playing? My first (late) hubby was guitarist in the Revillos xx Jacki
Hi Stills. Truly poetic analogy. I’ve heard of people who paint their pain and it helps them to conquer it at least temporarily with mind over matter. A few hours ago I was stung on my ankle by a wasp so what I’m thinking now for you is: can you get a steroid injection in hip? I had bursitis in hip in 2018 after a year trying homeopathic methods. One shot and it’s never come back. 🦋titters
