Like lupus warriors this bee is a fighter! It’s early March and he’s already bumbling about collecting nectar from my Christmas roses. Next he’ll be on the apple blossom and then the clematis as he paces himself carefully into the summer.

nice colour, I have green hellebores seeding themselves all over my garden no pretty pink ones
I’ve got a white one snd a green one so if they cross with this dark pink one it will be interesting to see the colour. The bees will like it no matter what colour 🐝
I have toads that hibernate around the centre of the plants, have to be careful when pruning.

Know the feeling , I’m exhausted from undiagnosed itchy sore rash all over torso front and back which is ever present and flares when my symptoms flare. It’s not shingles. I’ve been putting the steroid cream for my lichen sclerosis on it (sparingly) and that does help. It’s exhausting because I can’t sit still - like that bee I’m all a-buzz 😀

Yes they are lovely to have in winter when not much is out, I always cut a few for the table at Xmas 😃
