We've made it to 2021 with some hope of respite thanks to the vaccine. Its something to hang onto in this awful time.
I hope you like this pic of a flying sheep. I think he's excited at the prospect of Spring , newborns and flowers. Its a wonderful time of year that's nearly upon us and badly needed now!.
Keep safe and as well as can be.

Hi misty, Happy New Year 🥳. I love watching the new lambs skipping about in the field behind my mother in laws, I haven’t been able to see them since lockdown started, i hope that will change before spring . Love to all the family and happy, healthy 2021xx
Thanks so much weathervane. I do hope you'll be able to watch the lambs soon via the vaccine. We've missed out on so much for a long time now!.Its such a lovely time of year, full of hope, spring!. I'm sure i'll be able to post pics of new lambs so watch this space.
I do hope you all had a lovely xmas and new year and your injections are still helping. Hope you get vaccination appt soon.
Had a quiet Christmas and New Year , just the 5 of us , was good to be together 😀. Hip is still misbehaving unfortunately, but thumb is alot better. How have you been yourself? Are you in tier 4 now? It will be a while before we get vaccine 😫.
Sorry weathervane your hip is still problematic but glad thumb is better. Glad you all got together at xmas. We had a lovely peaceful time too.
Im still waiting to hear about the possibilty of having a steroid injection for toe. Its got worse and is so tough to live with now.
If i dont hear from Orthapod surgeon next week i will chase. Reasonable time after xmas!.
We've helped a neighbour with a possible stray cat shes taken in over xmas. Someone from our cat group is coming this aft to scan it to see if its got a microchip!. Hope a good outcome for the cat.
We're in lockdown from tomofrow and im shielding again!. Awful!. Plan is for all in the vulnerable groups to be vaccinated first by end feb!. We hope to at least get an appt. Its something to hang onto isnt it?. Hope you do too.
Its really cold here but sunny. That helps. Hope not too cold for you. Keep warm, safe and well. Xx
Hi misty, so sorry to hear that you are still in so much pain, I hope you hear soon about the injection, you must be miserable ☹️.We are all heading in to a major lockdown again, really got to me last night, but got over it today. Im not sure when will get vaccine here , if you were shielding does that put you in group with age 75s ? Its not very clear. A couple of friends in the health service have had it with no issues at all .
Hi weathervane, thank you for your lovely message and good wishes. I do feel miserable and it feels awful to be back to shielding. It feels like such a big step back and im cross that with better decisions it might have been avoided. Its hard knowing its for 6 weeks at least and we cant have a haircut again and given no chance to have one before this lockdown.
Its awful too learning what people are going thru. I feel very distracted as my dear U.S penfriend with lupus told me xmas eve shes got it and so im really worried about her now!.
I know there is better hope with the vaccine but we've still got to be careful when we get it. Ive spoken to my gp and they've done 1000 over 80's now . Our area seems slow but luckily our cases are low still. It would be nice for my parents to at least have an appt to hang onto. It helps you thru!. What about your area?. Glad to hear no reactions to jab!.
I hope you hear about your mri scan!.
Im cross too for being 4 th on list with over 70's as you rightly say. I think we should be sooner as our lives so stuck but got to be grateful its all been done quickly i guess. There are silly decisions made that are frustrating! My gp reckons i wont be done till Easter.
My gp has agreed with me increasing another dose on a painkiller and next week ill chase the orthapods as im not hearing anything. Got to keep trying but it is hard.
Im glad your bad day about it all didnt last. Its impirtant to let it out and then we have to carry on. No other choice. Whats hard for us both is the lengty of time now isnt it?.
Cats protection have taken the cat into their care, our neighbour's been feeding as it has a microchip so could be reunited with its owners. Thats a lovely thought that we've helped an abandoned cat!.
Haha!. I love that!. Thanks so much Ge, glad you liked the pic.I do hope 2021 is a good health year for you too and your family. Any vaccine news for you? We hope for an appt this next couple of weeks.
No, there is no vaccine news for me. I will be quite far down the list. I have asthma but not had Behçet’s officially diagnosed, only a ‘pretty sure it’s’ diagnosis. I’m not on immunosuppressants and am only in my early 40s. Could be September until I hear anything 😩 Xx
Oh gosh ge thats tough not having a definitive Behcet's diagnosis still. Have you had regular rheumy appts still?. Being official is so important to our self- confidence and in dealing with other medics. I guess its good in one way apart from asthma you are at a lower risk not being on immuno- suppressives but i bet covid has heightened your anxiety!?!.
Do hope you will be jabbed sooner than sept thats way too long!. Keep safe Xx
I haven’t seen my rheumy since October 2019. Did get a letter before Christmas saying I would get an appointment soon. May change now as Scotland has just been put back in full lockdown until at least February 😩 Just wish people would stop breaking the rules and this could be over a lot sooner. For now it’s back to books and box sets! Xx
We're facing similar measures here in England ge and I'm fed up waiting for an op for a year now that I stand no chance of getting and its hard knowing people keep spoiling my chances. It's also this new variant being so quickly transmitted that's scary and causing so many problems.
I've still had my Rheumy appt's by phone, I'm surprised that's not been offered to you. Admittedly I haven't been well so needed their advice. That's a long time to go without their input.
Keep well and safe ge and chase your appt if you need help. Xx
Its an amazing pic isnt it dianne?. Would you believe it was taken by a young lass who has won the mobiles and devices section of the RSPCA's Young photographer Awards for 2020 with that shot.?. She aptly called it 'to infinity and beyond'. They must live on a farm and probably got lucky with split second timing or she had help from dad perhaps. Dont want to take anything away from her achievement as it is such an incredible shot.
Do hope your keeping warm and cosy and you had a nice new year. Its suddenly gone really wintry hasnt it?.
That’s amazing , what a clever girl 👏 Yes it has turned wintery , it’s very cold and wet here, I’d rather it snowed especially now we’re stuck indoors again, at least it would look pretty and fresh out... roll on springtime😘🌻🌞🐇🐑💕 !
🐑❤🐑❄❤❄🐑❤💐❤😀❤I agree dianne although i dont want it to snow. We've all got enough problems to deal with without that. We've got sun and very cold which i dont mind as better to look at!. Cant wait for the first signs of Spring now. Will be a lovely boost.
Yes svfarmer, dont we badly want spring!. Do hope mira and bea are behaving themselves. Not long till your fiance sees that beautiful portrait of them. Bet you cant wait. Keep safe , hope your feeling better. Xx
Bea is always well behaved but that little daughter of hers 😂 she keeps going in the bathroom and getting wet wipes and tissues out of the bin and chewing them up - I even changed the bin but she can even open up the top, god knows how😂 keep telling Fiancé to keep bathroom door shut but he keeps leaving it open 😖 xxx
They both need housetraining dont they?. Ha!. Mira is a little minx but looks so innocent but shes very intelligent too. Makes extra work though doesnt it svfarmer for you. Keep warm, well and safe. Xx
Wow what an incredible shot. I wonder how long the photographer had to wait to get that. Thanks for sharing Misty, it made me smile. I hope that you are doing well lovely? Xxx
Hi cecily. Glad you liked it. Amazingly it was taken by a 14 year old lass who has won the mobile and devices category of the RSPCA's Young photographer of the year awards for 2020!. She must be good with her phone or was it dad?. They must live on a farm and probably took days / weeks of patience to get that incredible shot or just got lucky!.
Hope your feeling better cecily. Im in a lot of pain thanks for asking. Talking to gp on weds about it. Keep safe and well. Xx
I am so sorry to hear that Misty. I hope your GP can help you. I am very fatigued and the steroid side effects are daunting but my breathing is better so I suppose I need to suck it up lol. Huge Cwtches to you. Feel better xxx
Many thanks stiff. I hope we all have a vaccination appt to leap about soon or the first signs of Spring. Both badly needed now!. Hope you had a lovdly peaceful xmas and new year. Keep safe and well. Xx
Yes let’s hope misty 🤞nice quiet Xmas thanks, as is the norm for us 👍👍Hope you had a nice Xmas too 🙏 and best wishes for a hopeful new year. Stay safe and take care , bird watch back soon 🙌🏻Xx
