I figured out that I have prednisone withdrawal symptoms that I though are flare up as symptoms are similar. I found this person online that explains very well all kind of tips to manage prednisone. I thought I know everything like tapering slowely etc, but after her explanations it is much clearer and i already managed to get my last taper with no withdrawal symptoms. Most content is free but she tries also to sell you her supplements too. Here is an example. youtu.be/lAPZhaOuNps

Hmmm - Dr Megan, and her supplements. I suppose as longas you don't keep her in pocket money she might be worth a listen!!! Quite a bit of less good stuff to sift out in my experience though.
I don't think there is a need to buy her supplements she pretty much tells everything in videos, and it is better to get those from the food anyway.
People keep mentioning her blog over on the PMRGCAuk forum - we are all on pred and tapering. Suspect we mostly take her with a small pinch of salt - her blogs are sometimes a bit OTT.
Got it. I take everyone w a pinch of salt :). I like videos. Im just happy she helped me understand very well the withdrawal symptoms that i thought i knew but how she explained really clicked.
I liked listening to her - not too taxing on the brain and she has a nice melodic flow. As someone currently reducing pred at the pace of a half dead snail, I enjoyed listening to some of the information, such as the side effects of pred, steroid withdrawal syndrome, and nutritional deficiencies.
I went paleo soon after starting steroids and although I had weight gain (face fat anyone?) it wasn't too bad. Reminded me to stay off the sugar.
Thanks for posting!
Thank you for posting Dr Megan’s info. I listened to the sample presentation I thought it was very helpful and interesting. What have you got to lose by watching for a few minutes? This is a topic that the consultants do not have time to engage with. I won’t be buying any of her supplements and had some knowledge of the topic discussed but it was explained well and in a simple manner and I liked that. Have a great day everyone 😊
Shame but I couldn't hear her even with the volume turned up full.
I need some prednisone and found that when an inexperienced Dr. tried to wean me off all of it, my adrenal glands failed.
The important point is the she was not ordering the necessary bloodwork to go along with it and she did not take a decent history to learn how long I was on the medication.
