How you can help keep this online community safe

Hi everyone

This fantastic online community has been growing for over 10 years and we now have over 29,000 members registered and, on average, have over 2,000 posts and comments each month! We are really pleased that this forum is such a valued source of information and support, but it is a LOT for our small team of administrators to keep an eye on.

Most of you will be aware of the ‘report’ function that you can see under each post, comment and private message. The option to report a post or comment is designed to ensure that our community remains a safe and supportive space for our members to share their experiences.

When the report button is selected, you will be given a pop-up box to complete in which you can detail why you wish to report that post or comment. Once an item has been reported, an email is sent to the forum’s admin team Paul_Howard , Chanpreet_Walia and me. We will then read the post or comment as well as your reason for reporting it and assess whether we need to take any action.

We recommend that you use the report function for anything concerning to you which you’d like to bring to our attention. This could include:

•Advertising

•False or misleading information

•A member in crisis

•Rude, insensitive, or inflammatory remarks

Our team works hard to ensure that we are aware of what is being posted, but we cannot read every comment on every post. Your help will ensure that our forum remains a safe and supportive space.

Thanks for the info Alida and for the reminder. Fortunately I’ve only ever had to report once since being a member, but it is a real comfort to know you admin team are there to help and support us when needed. Thank you.
