RESEARCH VOLUNTEERS NEEDED: What is the impact of living with systemic lupus erythematosus on an individual’s sense of self?

WE NOW HAVE ALL THE VOLUNTEERS WE NEED FOR THIS PARTICULAR PROJECT - THANK YOU TO ALL THOSE WHO HAVE VOLUNTEERED.

We have been approached by a student who is studying for an MA in Therapeutic Counselling and Psychotherapy through Waverley Abbey College, which is validated by Middlesex University.

The aim of the research is to gain a deeper insight into people’s experience of lupus and the effect that it has on their lives.

Volunteers will take part in a 50–60 minute semi-structured interview, where there will be the opportunity to share how living with lupus has impacted you – particularly concerning your identity and sense of self. The interview will be held in a confidential and safe environment via Zoom and will be digitally recorded.
