My partner Andy Watts completed the final section of this years epic walking challenge to mark #lupusawarenessmonth

Andy is fundraising for Lupus UK / my regional LUK group, the West Midlands Lupus Group (WMLG).

He has been walking the UK coastline, in sections, since 2006, and started the South West Coast Path (SWCP) Section in 2010.

For anyone trying a 31 day #lupusawarenesmonth challenge, or a "Go that extra mile" for Lupus UK I thought I'd say thank you, go for it, and take it a step at a time.

Andy has now completed a total of 1,000 miles walking, which includes 630 miles of the South West Coast Path, (Poole harbour to Minehead)

Anything people can do to raise funds for Lupus UK and Lupus awareness is so worth doing. (I don't expect many will have walked quite as far as Andy, your efforts are just as important)

Would love to hear what others have done/ are currently attempting.

In addition it would be great if you are able to sponsor Andy at:

justgiving.com/fundraising/...

Any support you can give will be very much appreciated. Thank you.

As I have Lupus, all the walks this year have been too far for me to attempt. I do occasional walks with Andy when it's easy going, not too many miles. We call that "my dot to dot coastline walking route". We haven't yet worked out how many miles I've done, think it's about 80 over the years in lots of little sections.

After I was diagnosed in 2003, I saw that LUK had a GoThat Extra Mile challenge. I'm pleased that over the years with Andy's encouragement I have managed a few "extra miles" , as early after diagnosis I really did wonder if I could manage any exercise at all.

I'm also so proud of Andy's achievements.

Big thanks to everyone who has donated and/ or shared this link.

We're trying a final push to see if we can possibly reach our target of £500 for #LupusAwarenessMonth. That would be 50 pence for every mile of the 1,000 Andy has walked so far

Hence any further donations and sharing the below link would be really appreciated, thank you ♥️💜♥️💜
