Does anyone suffer brain fog, silly question I know, I ask this because I was hovering on Sunday, and I know how stupid this sounds, but for a few seconds I totally forgot how to turn it off, I have had one or two episodes like this, is this symptomatic of Lupus brain fog as it's called?

Brain fog
Hello. It may be brain fog and yes I sure have it. It’s also an aging thing and could be due to your meds. All of these I have had to evaluate to figure the source. Best, Titters
Hi Doey yes most of us on here suffer with brain fog unfortunately - something I do a lot is when I’m having a conversation with someone I can completely forget what I was talking about and often can’t say the words that I want to say which is very embarrassing xx
I do that a lot too, but actually forgetting how to turn something off, I use every day is an all time low for me 🤣🤣, I've had a similar things happen, Gosh isn't this awful, I imagine all sorts sometimes.
It truly can be the nightmare of conversations. It is one of the symptoms I can’t accept yet. Or never. Beginning to play scrabble. Read and write down
In shorthand what I read. Our bodies hurt and our brains fail us. Going to freezer right now for chocolate brownies ice cream.
I never seem to forget that🧐
I have a special clock I got on Amazon a few years ago I I think. You have to punch each button for the date. One for the day, monthDate. One two three. I know what season I’m in and whose birthday I missed😬🤣🤣but it does work!!!! And I think because it’s not just visual it is interactive. 🧠👀it’s a brain😂
Me too Doey1962. I swear I was terrified it was early onset dementia, my rheumatologist just said, ‘oh that’s very common, just brain fog’.. JUST?! It’s distressing and very real. X
Often, the other day I had no idea how to use the controls in my car. Completely baffled, had car for 16 years. Afterwards we laugh but can be scary at the time. Wish I could or get how to turn hoover on - be a great excuse for slovenliness
Hi Doey, thanks so much to you and everyone for sharing your experiences. It’s so reassuring to learn I’m not the only one with Lupus brain fog - I too forgot how to work the car controls recently and forgot my house alarm code the other day, I’ve had the same code for years! It can definitely be embarrassing and scary at times xx
Very scary, I know it has worried my children from time to time. Xx
