Yes, when I am flaring it can really itch badly. I found an antihistamine helps.

Me too .. I find Benadryl much better than fentofexafenadine (I think I’ve just made up a drug )🤭😉

It can be a flare.Use essential oils. Rub on your scalp the night before washing.

It can be rosemary, lavander and Jamaican castor oil.

3/4 of castor and the other two split.

Don’t wash your hair more than twice a week.

Don’t scratch. But make sure to see your rheumatologist and get some blood work.

I only wash my hair once a week and use olive oil soap as a shampoo. I also use coconut oil and Black Seed oil every other morning, just a small amount on finger tips massaged gently on the scalp

Check your scalp as you could have lesions, mine itched and found them

Hi Mystik. I find the Eucerin Dermo capillaire shampoo to be very soothing and really calms the itching and I use cool water to rinse and no hair dryer ! Hope you can get it sorted !

Hi Mystik, It could be the heat , I am prescribed Danrazol 2% shampoo (ketaconazole 20mg) comes in a 120ml bottle. I use it right through warm months , I find it is great for a itchy head, it’s a medicated shampoo, it doesn’t lather as much as normal shampoo but with a sore head nobody wants that anyway.I also always wear a hat when out in the sun now . Hope that helps M x
