Sorry to hear your GP won’t prescribe , your doctor is not following the updated guidelines for prescribing , if you have a confirmed diagnosis of Lupus you should show him the NICE information about prescribing for Lupus . You can also ask Lupus Uk to send this information on to you .
Print it off and show it to your doctor , I had to give up working not too long ago , I do struggle with low income.
The guidance will tell you the reasons to prescribe and the conditions , lupus is described as a serious condition , and sun protection cream is not a recommendation it’s an essential part of lupus treatment .
I was prescribed once uvistst factor 50 , but Carnt use it , too thick , has I have RA and hurts my hands to run it on .
Yes working from home ? I really don’t know what I could do working from home , I Carnt even function day to day . Too many health complications and medication issues .
So was the link I have above the correct nice link?
I just have my opinion on the uvistat below 😂 horrible stuff.
And fully understand how difficult it is with so many health issues. I managed a young lady who had to retire under medical grounds at the age of 37. It was so sad as she was absolutely brilliant.
Yes my doctor prescribed this Uvistat for me too , Carnt use it , too thick , it’s not fit for purpose for lupus sufferers . Only suitable for sunbathing or surfing .
Not to mention , the tremendous amount of extra washing of clothes and white stains on everything , everything has to be disposable , and no black shoes or handbags .
