Factor 50 clothing idea :)

Quick tip for those of us troubled by the sunshine - a lot of sailing gear is factor 50 based and coming towards the end of summer it is now on sale. I’ve picked up some amazing GILL and Helly Hanson stuff this week. The competition stuff is particularly lightweight and airy. I’ve found some really handy long sleeved tops and trousers - which are perfect for my outdoorsy type of lifestyle. I’ve been struggling a bit recently finding clothing that covers me up but keeps me cool in the very hot weather. I found sailing and wetsuit outlets online absolutely brilliant.....just thought I’d share as its been a bit of a fab revelation for me. Maybe it would be useful for some of you guys x

Mountain warehouse also has a clearance sale on the now quite a lot of factor 50 clothing there aswell.

Glad to help - some of this stuff is usually pretty expensive isn’t it? I’m looking at leggings now and these kick off at £50! None in MW unfortunately.... I found wetsuitoutlet.co.uk to be good (I’ve gone for massive men’s racing tops with hoods). I also found some good advice on choosing types of normal clothes and care of UV protection clothes on rei.com. It’s all fairly new to me this year - I’ve spent most of my life outside and overseas with no problems whatsoever- to suddenly have to rethink what I do and how I do it has been a bit of a steep learning curve. I seem to have become very sensitive now but life has to go on - so I’m just trying to find solutions. There’s always a way round things
