I have had Fibromyalgia from over 10yrs and suffered with Bells Palsy for almost 3yrs. I have enzymes in my liver which are not functioning properly & I have to take continuous Iron tablets to stop me from developing anemia. In the last 4 weeks my “flare ups” with what I have always assumed where due to my fibro, have got so bad I’m struggling on days to even move. I have contacted the GP and asked for investigations to be done to look into Lupus as I have so many systems including on and off mouth ulcers, headaches etc. My GP has said earliest appointment I can get in middle of June. I’m going out of my mind not knowing what’s happening with me. Do you think it sounds as if it’s a possibility it could have Lupus?
Thanks x

It's far too complex for us to say as many AI illnesses overlap .a fibro and lupus diagnosis seems to pop up on here quite often though.diagnosis can take years ....the average is 6 years so patience is a virtue .if it's any consolation weve all been on that road ...for me it was 5 years.sorry I cant give anymore answers.hope appointment in june goes well.x
Hi , I agree completely with earlier reply and add that if your mental health is suffering as a result don’t wait for that appointment in June, call 111 that’s what it’s there for and should result in a telephone appointment at least. Nothing to lose, call today. 🙂
