Lupus Symptoms But Blood Test for Lupus Negative

Hello, since December I have been experiencing neck pain and cevicogenic headache on both sides, fatigue, weakness, nausea, and facial flushing. I am often in misery. However, these episodes are interspersed with several days of feeling absolutely fine with no symptoms and no fatigue and my usual happy self. Blood tests were negative. My mother had lupus and about a month ago when I had an extreme bout of fatigue I thought that this must be it, however, as I mentioned the blood tests are negative. Has anyone any advice please? Could I have lupus? I would be very grateful for your help.

It doesn't sound like lupus. What does your doctor say? Have you been to neurologist?

Well it could be lupus. Lupus often mimics other disease. Many lupus sufferers go undiagnosed for years with symptoms, because it sometimes takes a while to show up in blood tests. I am one of those sufferers who will be in obvious flare of lupus yet it will not show up in my bloods tests.Lupus is also an inherited disease , so if your mother had it , it is very possible u may have it too.

Maybe u can ask your GP for a referral

to a Rheumatologist.
