Has anyone in group 6 had their COVID vaccination yet? You’ll be group 6 if you’re under 65, with lupus but on no meds or just on hydroxychloriquine or are you still waiting for a letter? I’m feeling a bit nervous I’ve been missed again. 🙁

Group 6 vaccinations
I know two people in group 6 and neither of them have had their vaccination yet.
I'm also in group 6 and haven't heard anything yet, so don't worry 🙂
I'm in group 6 and not heard anything yet.
Hey there, so I checked in with my GP surgery (I emailed them so I didn't take up the phone line). They have confirmed I am group 6 and said they will be contacting me in due course to get vaccinated. So I think Group 6 peeps are next up and it should be happening soon!!
I've been led to believe that gp 6 are being 'jabbed' by their GPs - so it may take a little longer. I'm in this group and have been told I will be called in a week or two. OH 'done' this weekend gp5. Please don't worry I'm sure you won't have been missed but it might be worth contacting them if you haven't heard in a couple of weeks time. x
I’m in that group and having my first vaccine tomorrow.
I too am in group 6 and have yet to hear. Thanks for posting because I was starting to think I had been missed too!
Hi, I am also in group but have not yet received an invite to be vaccinated.
Hi panther50, I 63 and only on hydroxychloriquine, not heard anything about my vaccine. Have seen on Facebook that that our gps have started group 6. So I private messaged to see if I am in group 6. Reply I got was that on their records shows me in group 7 which is why I haven’t heard, but by their reckoning I should be in group 6 or even 4 and they can’t see why the system hasn’t picked this up. They’ve sent a task to try to get this sorted and I aren’t forgotten about. I have been panicking about this so I’m hoping now it won’t be long.
My husband has asthma, he’s with a different surgery than me and we’ve been told by his surgery that he’s in group 7 unless his asthma is so severe that he’s needed to take 3 or more courses of steroid tablets in the last 3 months. He’s 63 as well.
Oh no! I tried the booking line again as I’d had conflicting info about whether group 6 can book through them or if it has to be through the surgery. After being unable to book, I rang my surgery, only to be told I’m still group 9. I’m absolutely devastated. It took weeks to get GP to correct it. She rang me specifically late on a Fri night to tell me putting the mod risk code in had automatically made me group 6 on the system, to put my mind at rest. I have 100% confidence in her and what she saw at that time. This is so unbelievably frustrating and upsetting. I’m trying to get the GP who doesn’t know & who is probably v busy to get an answer from IT, when even getting hold of the GP is difficult. Why is this so hard? It’s wasting their and my time. The GP agrees I’m in the wrong group.
Elizabeth it sounds like you are in the same boat as me. Lupus is definitely 4 or 6. Apparently after telling AsthmaUK everyone with asthma would be group 4 or 6 the government went back on this on Saturday. Ours was always in black and white in the Green book, asthma was less clear.
It must be post code I am in Blackheath London and a Neigbour no health problems and 58 is having it next week. I never got a letter, I think that’s for people who haven’t got a mobile phone
Hi there,
Im in category 6 and had my vaccination on Saturday. I received a text from GP on Friday stating that Ive been invited to book my first dose of vaccination together with a link x
Hi there, I am a bit confused. I am newly diagnosed with Lupus and on Hydroxychlorquine medication. Is the group classification dependent on the medication I am on?
Yes in a way. Everyone with Lupus is in group 4 (sheilding) or group 6. If you’re just on hydroxychloriquine you should be group 6. There are a few of us who have been incorrectly coded, just by age group which is wrong (though wouldn’t matter if your age put you in a group higher than 6 anyway).
I'm not an expert but I figure out really depends which NHS trust you're in, as there going at different speeds! Also I presume that adding around 1 million extra people to the shielding list a few weeks back would push some group 6ers lower down the list?
Ooh I just looked at the NHS website by my local council, and it says that they're now vaccinating groups 1-4. So have a check on your local bus trust site!!
Yes me. Phoned my gp this morning to get something for my mouth ulcers and asked if I am in group 6. Said their records didn’t show me as such but that I should be. Within an hour I’d had a text inviting me to book and have it scheduled for Thursday. Worth checking if you’ve not heard....
Wow, Sasha that’s amazing. I’m having a complete nightmare. Was staggered when I got text from my surgery manager last night basically saying stop contacting us & “if we do manage to sort your coding out ....it’ll be weeks until you’re invited” So spoke to GP who is lovely and trying her best to resolve this. Bearing in mind my consultant wrote to surgery in December asking for me to be prioritised. At the moment it seems like I’m stuck in an IT nightmare & unable to get the vaccine! I can’t tell you how stressful this is.
