My partner the vaccine and lupus

Hi all my partner has just received her vaccine letter and is very anxious about the whole thing she has discoid lupus with APS ( anti phospholipid syndrome) and for reassurance I’d like to know if anyone has had there vaccine with these conditions and if they had any side effects I understand every lupus patient is different but on a whole we wanted to get an understanding of the side effects if there was any or if you had a severe reaction thanks in advance 😊

Hi,I’m sorry your wife is getting anxious.I have lupus and other auto immune diseases and I have NSIP ,a lung disease.

I was really worried about vaccines, left a message about it for my rheumatologist,the nurse rang me back and said the rheumatologist saidI should have the vaccine,as I could become very ill if I getCovid.

The lungconsultant mentioned it during the phone appoint e t.

She was also advising that Ihave it.

I thought about it and decided that I needed to have the vaccine- for my health and so that Ican stop shielding and meet my family again.

I had the Astra Zeneca 2 weeks ago.

Ihad a sore arm afterwards and my joints ached.it was t bad enough to stay in bed.it lasted about 36 hours.

Hello. I have SLE and APS and had the AZ vaccine on Sunday. I got headache, slight nausea and tiredness, plus sore arm, but fine today. Important to rest up afterwards. Good luck.
