I am still poorly but getting better. Immflamation of the bowel is still giving me trouble. Eating and doing a number 2 aggravating this. Time will heal me, but I'm wondering if this is what's to come after every IBS flare 🤔
I've had telephone consultation with my rheumatologist and spoken about my concerns about taking mycopenolate, steroids and having Covid vaccine. She strongly advised me not to stop the drugs but at the moment there isn't anything she could change them to. (I have already tried others) Advised very strongly to have the vaccine which I assured I have every intention of doing so. It may not work 100% but some protection is better than none. I would say to everyone have the vaccine unless there is a a very strong reason for you not to.
Take care and stay safe. 💐

Hi I have normally discoid lupus, however in 2018 I started having trouble with my bowel (the same as you). I think inflammation can kick anywhere so I changed my diet (stopped eating sugar and refined carbs and up my healthy fat intake. Have you heard of Healthy Keto and Intermittent fasting? I learned from Dr. Eric Berg on YouTube. This helps tackle inflammation). Also water (I was constipated a bit probably). I am doing exercises, tummy massages and relaxation techniques. It all helps. The real cause of trouble is inflammation, Learn more about how your diet can help and try to do healthy changes (marginal gains). Take care
I do suffer really bad with constipation I know I really need to keep on top of my fluid intake, some days I don't drink really enough.Thank you for your reply
Hi Bronn, good news that you are improving. Gut problems are the plague of my life at the moment. Since becoming a vegetarian 21/2 years ago I have been alternating between diarrheoa and constipation. There are days when I eat raw and that seems to help, another day I have soup and I don’t make it to the loo. Awful gut cramps too. I have tried probiotics, all sorts of yoghurts, supplements etc. I drink so much water because my mouth is always dry. I have a hernia that is getting bigger and acid reflux. I have tested negative for celiacs disease. I hope that you have the vaccine soon and that it goes well for you xxx
