I have CNS Lupus. I live with my husband and dogs. Been WFH since March. Our friend lives alone. We have seen each other twice since March, sitting outside in our garden, socially distanced. Our friend managed to book a covid test at boots on 21st Dec (he finished work this morning in a factory). He was then going to self isolate until getting the results and if negative, come over and stay with us for a few days since he is our support bubble.
I'm panicking now that's a bad decision with the latest stats out but my friend is so excited about coming over.
What do I do?
Many thanks

Hi.i have lupus and I am immunocompromised my mum who is 88 usually comes to stay Christmas eve until boxing day .we are currently in tier 2 but my mum isnt coming to stay this year she is only coming for the day. Christmas bubbles were cut to one day yesterday and I dont think stop overs are advised.im taking my mum home Christmas day and taking her boxing day buffet to her.there will be alot of disappointed people this year and sadly there will also be alot of empty seats at dinner tables too.safety must be no1 for all of us.merry Christmas x
Thank you for your response and I wholeheartedly agree with you. I just wanted someone in the same position as me to affirm what I was thinking and that I'm not overreacting. Merry Christmas xx🌲
