For CecilyParsley and all lovers of dairy-free!

Hello everyone, I hope you’ve had a good week? Nigella Cropley got her apron back on this morning, took in a supermarket delivery and got cracking with the dairy-free Coco-Choc hot drink for you all to enjoy in the virtual drive-thru!

I made enough for 2 mugs with “no sugar” coconut milk and I simmered it with a dessert spoon of my absolute favourite “Green Origins” vegan 100% organic cacao powder. I melted in half a small bar of Ombar 72% vegan cacao choc, (about 35 grammes) added 2 heaped teaspoons of desiccated coconut and a small handful of organic toasted coconut flakes. It was a little bitter to taste so I added 2 heaped teaspoons of Demerara sugar to sweeten it a bit. I put the concoction into the Nutribullet to blend in the desiccated coconut and flakes to thicken the mixture slightly and whizzed it around for 10 seconds. I then poured it straight into a glass whilst it was still frothy. I added a few flakes and desiccated coconut for a garnish, along with an Ombar “Cocomylk” bar to nibble on the side. The combo was delicious, very warming and quite filling! It was lovely to drink on this cold and frosty morning! Enjoy! 🥛🍫 🥥❤️

Oh yummy. I will definitely have to try this. I love coconut and always have toasted flakes to chew on if I don’t have raw coconut. Coconut and chocolate a marriage made in heaven. Thank you for doing this. At the moment I am struggling to eat or drink because of my asthma. Most things are not lasting more than a few minutes of coughing but I am going to try this xxx

Hi CP, sorry to hear that your asthma is causing you difficulties, that’s really not nice at all for you. Hopefully this Coco-Choc hot drink will brighten your day - the toasted flakes went really well with it! 😘

Oh goody! Glad you like the look of it - it was quite satisfying to make a drink that was dairy free, organic, fair-trade and vegan - and it still tasted yummy! Are you having one of your chook’s eggs for brekkie? 🍳😘

Lovely to hear from you Stiff! I haven’t managed to paint the stones yet, but have given the shapes of them a bit of thought. I got involved in a project at work that needed my input - it was nice to use me old noggin for a bit, but not for too long thankfully! Hopefully I’ll have a few quiet moments this week to get going - one of the stones has a chip in it - I’m thinking of either painting a seagull beak and making the chip into the red splodge on the end of the beak or turning it into a mouth for “Dory” from Nemo? I quite like that the shapes provide the inspiration rather than me having to think “what shall I paint?”. Anyway, we’ll see what transpires! 😂

Haven’t heard from DVLA yet, I know they take a long time and are really thorough, getting used to just doing stuff around the house and garden and not going anywhere. Pretty much like the rest of the country! So not a bad time to be off the road I suppose. I’ve just had an email now saying that a girl in upper 6th had been tested + for Covid, so we are waiting to hear whether the whole year group needs to isolate. Secretly, it would be nice to have my daughter home during the day so we can potter about together in between online lessons. She’ll defo do some stones!

Going to crack on with the Gingerbread Latte now as kids are nagging me for it, so will post a pic later!

How’s everything with you? Have you had any more contact with your Neuro? Hope the burning feet are less bothersome and some progress is happening for you on the medical front. Such a long haul isn’t it? Hope you are doing ok, big hugs and all to you 🤗😘🤗

And you hw. Yes we have to keep it ticking over 😂😂That’s funny we got a text today saying covid at school and immediate contacts have been notified, in the year group below my daughters. I wish they’d shut it and I’d love my daughter at home. They don’t know all contacts if you see them come out of school there’s no distancing .

I’ve not been good but feeling a bit better today thankfully and been doing a bit of felting and painting between jobs.

Yes it’s great the way the stones can give you what to draw I agree 👍

Been loving seeing your drinks you post 👍

I’ve heard nothing from neuro yet🤷‍♀️ Still biding my time, hope the vaccine for covid happens then I will push to be seen.for now I’m coping best I can and documenting all.hope you doing ok 👌🙏

Getting ready for Xmas. It won’t be same obviously but we put tree up and it cheers me, I phoned my victor meldrew dad and asked what he wanted for Xmas and he said nothing Xmas is cancelled and went on a rant. But we will still have a Xmas with us here and animals 🙏👍

Love and best wishes stay safe , hope your daughter gets to stay at home 😂👍(safer) 😘🤗xx
