Yes the grass is very wet now in the garden - I think we have 2 more days of sunshine then the rain will be coming in 😖

Thank you....I haven't told anyone 🤫 but my chest is ok at the moment so going to give it a go.ive got a video appointment with chest specialist at preston on 21st October so I'm hoping to have some good news for them xx

How r u reducing by 0.5mgs of pred? Reason I ask is coz I'm reducing too by 1mg per month but I found the drop from 8-7mgs particularly tricky so I've decided to do it by .0.5mgs instead!! I'm on 7mgs at the mo n I've got pred in 5mg n 1mg tablets..I have had 2.5mgs in the past but they're not currently on my prescription. So I'm thinking if I want to reduce to 6.5..would I take a 2.5mg n four 1mg tablets daily? Is that how your doing it? I don't think we'll have much luck cutting the tiny fiddly tablets!! 🌈😽😽Xx

Hi krazy kat I have 5mg 2 5 mg & 1mg tablets available on script.i went from 8 to 7. 5 then down to 7.today I've split a 1mg tablet and put the other half in a dish for tomorrow.i self medicate to a degree ( my gp knows) and follow my body .....if it says no then it's back up.if I have to go back up I go back up to 10 maybe 15. Xx

My 1mg tablets are by co-pharma and I was able to snap it this morning with my nails 👍

You could alternate between 7 & 6 mgs x

Thank u for that 🤗it's much the same for me with the self prescribing..dermy gives me leeway..after all he doesn't see me for months so we have an understanding!! 😹

I'll ask for some 2.5mg tabs to be added to my script.

Thank you I expect it to hit about friday.i have an understanding too with mine I've been on them so long and he knows i will drop them.i have been alittle naughty as I was told not to drop them anymore at 8.5mgs as my chest tightened significantly but it eased off so tried again but I made myself promise I would go back up at the first signs of my lungs deteriorating .....so far so good 🤞

Good luck with yours too.i dont think people understand how frustrated we get at not been able to drop these steroids xxx

I'm keeping mine at 7mgs for now till I speak to a doctor..the drop from 8to7 was worse than usual..that's why I'm gonna negotiate for more gradual drop..by 0.5 instead of 1mg at a time. I consider all treatment plans made at appts a rough guide..I'm still the boss!! 😹

Tip..when requesting different steroid strengths on a script I add a note saying they are to facilitate a steroid drop and i will get all the strengths. 👍

Yes it’s her mum behind her - she’s looks almost as big as her mum but she’s all fluff - she gets a proper schnauzer cut next week so kind of dreading it as she won’t look like a puppy any more but her fur is so long she keeps getting half the garden stuck in it 😂❤️

She will always be your puppy. Like children grow to adults but are always their mothers babies. Probably good to get a haircut before the autumn and winter when there will be even more to get stuck in the fur! I need a haircut too but haven’t managed to go yet. I have very small ears so need a hair band with buttons attached to keep a face mask on. Can’t wear it like this to the hairdressers so will need to find a way round it. Starting to look like Captain Caveman from the old cartoons! 😂 Xx

😂😂 I’ve got long hair so only have mine cut about twice a year - just a thought could you wear a child’s face mask 😷 as one of my sons he’s 29 has Down’s syndrome and has really small head and ears so got him a child’s one and fits perfectly xx
