Good Advice?

I’ve just received a letter from the Chief Medical Officer for Scotland advising me it is still safe to go out and about. In the same letter he advises on the importance of vitamin D and says it is ‘safe for all’ to be out in the sun for up to fifteen minutes! Oh, no it’s not Dr Smith.

I don't know where you are in scotland but in my part we have had very little sun this year. even on the few days it's been warm there is no sun.

It’s been very sunny and warm here today in Midlothian. We’ve had quite a few sunny days even with the cold east wind.

Us "rare" people are always forgotten about.

Me being me, I'd be tempted to write back and point out the error for lupus patients.

I wonder if this is just Scotland.

Me too....I’d find a clinical definition of Lupus & sun sensitivity....and send it to him....under the heading....“FYI for your future advisory letters”.

It seems nobody in charge knows anything these days!

It’s not the not knowing it’s the not caring. Generalising has become the norm even with docs. As Wendy said I’d be inclined to reply, 🤷‍♀️ But if they hear do they listen🤷‍♀️🙏
