Another great photo misty!!! My Mum was chased up a tree by their shire horse , it had a habit of nipping 😳!! She was also chased by a bull and a goat and carried off by an escaped sow as a baby, just saved in the nick of time . She was one of the youngest and was always getting into scapes 😆.
Take care xxxx
Wow weathervane, your mum had an interesting time!. Must have lived on a farm and maybe she was the black sheep of the family?. Ha!. 😂
Glad you like the pic and I hope your wasp sting is improving. Take care. Xx😊💕😊💕😊💕😊💕😊
Ha ha , my Mum did grow up on a farm, i used to love hearing her stories , she was the youngest girl in a big family , and she got up to lots of mischief 😀.
The wasp sting is improving well , thank goodness. Hope you’re keeping ok , any word yet of appointments??
😀😀🤗🤗🌸
I bet there was never a dull moment with your mum's tales and escapades weathervane. Thank goodness your wasp sting is improving.
No word yet on appt's thanks for asking!. I won't believe it when it happens, seems so never ending!. Any news of your MRI?. Keep safe and wellXx😊💕😊
Oh yes I agree 😊 it’s a very cute picture xx
Lovely Misty , you keep our spirits up with your cute pictures 🥰 I used to ride a shire horse in my youth and would also give children rides on a Shetland at local fetes .... many moons ago now 🙄
I promise I will email and fill you in with the goings on but having a bad week, you know how it goes, do too much and there’s always fallout 😞 Your cute picture cheered me up😄
Thinking of you and hoping things are going your way🙏 .... Big hugs, Diane 🤗 🥰💕 🐎 xx
Glad Diane you liked the pic. Horses are lovely aren't they?. Sorry your having another rubbish week and hope you feel better soon.
No RUSH to reply , feel better first and I've not got any treatment news still either. Maybe mid sept I might be able to make a date. I hardly dare hope. I won't believe it when it finally happens.
TAKE CARE lovely. Xx😊💕😊🐴🐎
They really are lovely, I’d love to ride again but think it would have to be side saddle🙄 , no don’t think my body could cope but being around them would be lovely😍.
So sorry you’re still waiting, gosh I really hope September brings you some luck with your treatments, it’s been far too long a wait for you 😞. Everything is crossed for you😗🤞🙏
I had my rheumy phone appointment the other day, he wants to see me face to face next time, increase my hydroxy , even if it’s just an extra one or half every few days and have to go to Haywards Heath for bloods and an X-ray on my hip , he wonders if it’s Calcification causing the pain. He’s also happy for me to try CBD oil , he’s got quite a few patients on it that are doing ok, worth a shot I think, said to stop it if no difference after a month.
What we need is our Strictly fix don’t we, it’s been too long 😄 hope it’s coming soon🙏
Take care my lovely 😘🥰🌺xx
Wow what an amazing photo Misty. Such beauty thanks for sharing xx
Lovely pic 😍 little and large 😂xx
Glad you liked it stiff. I was sorry to read of your neuro tel appt that didn't happen when scheduled!. Awful waiting and wondering!. I hope you can get it sorted out. I've been lucky with all mine going ahead when they should. Xx😊
Lovely matchy monochrome gee gees! Super pic, thanks Misty xx
Beautiful!!!
A gentle giant with a feisty Shetland. What a perfect partnership. I love both breeds. My Dad, a Fenman, who was born in 1905 worked the land with shires when he was a lad. He said they were the most obliging and intelligent animals and he loved them. But they could be nervous and one day when he was bending over picking something up behind one of the horses he felt a sharp pain in his buttocks and found himself flying through the air and landing on a dung heap perilously close to a pitch fork. He always spoke to them as he approached after that. 😂😂 Great picture thanks Misty. 🤗😘
Whoa that was a close shave !! My grandad used to work with shires too, he was born 1899, he said the same and always loved and had much respect for these gentle giants. 🥰🌺x
Yes, it taught him not to be complacent. Although they’d never wish you harm if they got spooked they lashed out and those hooves are huge! He also laughed about my aunt and her friend riding bare back on one of the work horses. The horse’s back was so wide he said the little girls’ legs were straight out almost doing the splits! 😂 I can just visualise it. We are lucky to have heard first hand stories of these wonderful horses that my dad and your granddad worked with, loved and respected. 👍🏻👍🏻😁
I thought it made a lovely story spotty, a shire horse teaming up with a Shetland pony. What a close shave your dad had with one though!. You've got to be so careful with any animal. Shire's are big , known for their strength pulling carts and drays for the kegs for pubs. Proper work horses and for ploughing!. Some of their old skills are just about keeping going which is wonderful. Thanks so much for your replies and messages. Will be in touch soon. Xx😊💕😊
