I am sitting in bed unable to sleep with the heat and humidity, but I shouldn’t complain as im sure its much hotter with you in England. Im much the same , sore hip and neck with pain and tingling down arms. I was sent to hospital for mri but hospital said they had to do xray first so could be months 🙄

How are you managing? Please tell me you have a date for surgery , you have waited so long . I hope you and your family are coping well . My husband has decided he will travel as little as possible so after all that he is still doing the shopping, I think he is trying to build up brownie points 🤣.

Have you been out much at all .. ive been out for some walks in a quiet park thats flat but other than that im still avoiding going anywhere. My sister in-law and husband did call yesterday and we had a distanced dinner outside, it was lovely as I haven’t seen her since February ( they live 90 miles away ) it felt very normal and we had so much to catch up on .

I think we could be heading to another lockdown so probably its good to stay careful. We have tracking app here which ive downloaded, i think there has been a good uptake . Do you have one ?

Look after yourself and be safe , keep posting the photos, always makes us smile 😃 😀🤗🤗🥰

Thanks so much weathervane for your lovely message!. I'm really sorry your suffering with neck pain and tingling down your arms!. That doesn't sound good and your hip is still such a problem!. I don't understand why it has to be XRay first before MRI scan!. MRI shows things up better!. Our hospital before covid let us just go up to XRay if GP requested it and if we didn't mind waiting we could be done!. It's probably appt only now because of covid and it's awful you now have a long wait again!. Can I ask you how long you waited for your colonoscopy?. I know it was a long time!.

It's tough isn't it needing treatment and suffering. I haven't got any dates for all that I'm waiting for including the colonoscopy and op!. I've written off this year as I just don't feel it will ever happen. Bowel has improved thankfully as I've been put in as routine!. It couldn't be the urgent one as stool test proved it is IBD solely so I've got to wait. Some relief to know no cancer suspected but just wish I coukd get it done before a possible covid spike!.

We've got so many holidaymakers down here in Devon that it's scary and maddening . No wonder our local hospital isn't doing much , waiting for cases I should think!. You and your husband are so right to be cautious and I'm glad he will limit his travelling so can do the shopping!. I'm pleased you've been for walks and saw your sister!. That must have been great after so long and good for spirits for both of you.

I've been out to coffee with friends at our local garden centre and it was busy and despite the social distancing signs no-one observed it standing in the queue for the cafe. Lots of masks were worn but it did make me very wary like you !. Lovely seeing friends though. We've been very cut off haven't we?.

When I go shopping just once a week I go early with my parents so that we come home when it starts to get busy. Have also been to the dentist whilst cases low!. Our hairdresser has come too. Did you get your appt ok?.

Hope your son is feeling better and your having a good weekend despite the weather and pain!. We've cooled off today with rain thankfully!. Way too hot for us!.

Take care and keep safe Xx

Thanks for your reply 😀. I don’t know why they did an xray as doctor said I would need the mri to get the right information so this xray was pointless. It was over 8mths before I got the urgent colonoscopy In July, though originally app was in march but cancelled because of covid . I was told day of test i had diverticulitis and just got letter last week to say biopsy's were clear .

It’s awful its so busy with tourists with you , listening to bbc this morning, lady on welsh borders , couldn’t shop in her village and had to travel to England to get shopping because of crowds .

Glad you had a good time with your friends, it nice to forget things for a while and have a good gossip, i wish there were more outside facilities though.

I dont know what we are going to do in the winter , as will miss sitting outside in the garden. My son is worried about the environment as so many people are buying burners for outside and restaurants using gas heaters . At least more people are cycling and not using cars as much .

It has been raining here today as well and cooler , maybe sleep better tonight.

Look after yourself and keep safe and well xxx🌸

Thanks weathervane for your lovely message. I hope you won't have to wait as long for an MRI!. It makes me cross seeing the NHS wastage like your XRay first!. Perhaps it helps them decide what to pinpoint on the MRI though?.

I'm glad your biopsy's were clear as you don't want IBD!. That must have been a relief!. How has the diverticulitis been?.

I really hope it's not months for my colonoscopy although it's being delayed by the cancer backlog!. I want it done before the inevitable winter problems made worse by covid!. You had a shocking wait!.

Your son is right about the added tourist problems and litter !. It's awful the way people are behaving and others are risking their own health having to clean up after them!. We all should be extra careful in this time!. It makes me cross. There's more plastic being used and dumped which I'm sure is also making your son cross!.

So deep breaths and yes it is lovely to go out for a coffee and a laugh as we think of other things . Every aspect of our lives is affected by covid in some way and so it's hard to escape it!.

A lot of eateries down here have opted out of the Eat out to help out scheme as they have been inundated and couldn't do the proper social distancing measures!. Stupid timing it is as they need the financial help in Sept/Oct!.

We're going to sort out a new laptop as I'm still using Windows 7 and ours is 7 years old!. Done us proud it has though.

Look after your hip and neck and I hope you hear soon. Keep safe and well too. Xx

What a day it has been here misty, it has not stopped raining and so dark this evening ☹️. We were spoiled with the lovely Weather earlier in the summer!

I hope you hear about your colonoscopy soon and about your operation, can your gp find out anything, though hard to get in touch with them as well!!

Did you get your computer sorted, I wouldn’t know where to start , can you manage it yourself? I never use the computer, i do everything on my phone.

Best wishes, take care and stay out of the way of those pesky tourists 🤣 xxx
