We are concerned that when shielding guidance is paused, some people with lupus will be forced to make a choice between protecting their health or their income.
People with lupus who have been shielding have made great sacrifices over the last few months and they should not be at risk of losing their jobs and income if it is unsafe for them to return to work.
Alongside other charities, we're calling on the government to extend the furlough scheme for at risk people who cannot safely return to work.

I’m classed as shielding but I have had to go into work while the shops closed to to do repairs and jobs. My husband has been running the shop hours so far since reopened 29/6. (He needs to return to his part time job)
I’m going to have to return to save my business, I’m rather worried at serving customers one to one, we have a screen at the till, face masks, face shield , posters and signs. So is that COVID SECURE??
