'I have Lupus' Hidden Disability Sunflower Lanyards - Back In Stock

Hi everyone,

The Hidden Disabilities Sunflower Scheme lanyards and cards that say 'I have Lupus' are back in stock.

You can purchase these now from the LUPUS UK online shop for £2.00 (including postage) - lupusuk.org.uk/shop/#!/Hidd...

Wearing the Hidden Disabilities Sunflower discreetly indicates to people around you including staff, colleagues and health professionals that you need additional support, help or a little more time. Above all, it is used anywhere where people meet. Learn more about the scheme at lupusuk.org.uk/living-with-...

It may be especially helpful for those wishing to signal to others that they require strict social distance or to access priority shopping at supermarkets when shielding ends.

I’ve recently gotten one of these lanyards. Anyone find it has helped to start a good conversation ?

I hadn’t thought about that aspect of it but great if people ask and you can explain. Fingers crossed this happens.

I’ve just ordered one so don’t know yet. But I have found my Lupus UK badge has started many interesting conversations. 👍🏻👍🏻

Thankyou Paul, have just ordered one xx

Hi Olibop,

We still have stock available. If you live in the UK you can order directly from the online shop.

Thanks for letting us know Paul. I’ve just ordered one. 👍🏻👍🏻

Thanks Paul for letting us know. I’ve just placed my order.

Thank you , just ordered and hope it helps me in shops when I'm trying to pay and pack my shopping ...I'm not very fast or drop things ALOT and often get the look of what's wrong with you

Tonk in reply to missbee73

Yes, I've seen that look many times along with the roll of the eyes, the huff, and my personal favourite, the Skippy impression.... Tut tut.

The problem is, the faster I try to pack, the more I drop. Of course, Skippy could offer to help but, that is far too kind for far too many.

missbee73 in reply to Tonk

I'm glad I'm not the only one whose seen that look 🤦‍♀️ ...I've seen the skippy far to many times and the look when you apologise and say I'm sorry I have problems with my hands ..still the look of just hurry up will you...I usually do scan and go but they dont do have it in all the shops , saves me playing dropsy a million times !

Hi Paul

I’ve just placed my order .

Many thanks

Just ordered mine!

Hi Paul,

can you do one that says "I have a rheumatic autoimmune disease that defies diagnosis by classic criteria". That should be clear enough!😉

Hi sarahsch,

On the Hidden Disability Scheme website they do sell a generic 'Hidden Disabilities' ID card which may be suitable? hiddendisabilitiesstore.com...

sarahsch in reply to Paul_Howard

Thanks Paul,

I have the lanyard which was given to me by Tesco, but always thought it odd not to have anything hanging off it.
