The coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic and precautionary measures implemented by the UK government to reduce the spread of the virus have had a significant impact on the lives of many people. We are aware that some people are facing financial uncertainty and hardship as a result of the current situation.
In an effort to help support people with lupus who have been impacted by the current crisis, LUPUS UK has created the COVID-19 Emergency Assistance Fund. The charity will be accepting applications for one-off cash grants (up to £200) from people in need of emergency assistance due to the COVID-19 crisis.
If you are in a position where you want to contribute towards the work of LUPUS UK and support others in need, you can donate direct to the charity at lupusuk.org.uk/shop/#!/Dona...

That’s fantastic Paul, what a nice thing to do to support your members.
I’ll certainly contribute and also try and think of some lockdown fundraising ideas as must be so hard for charities with so many fundraising events cancelled.
Thanks so much for all you and the team do for us x
Thank you so much for your kind offer of support. We'll hopefully be sharing some ideas for social distancing fundraisers over the next couple of weeks in the lead-up to World Lupus Day on 10th May. It is definitely challenging having so many important fundraising events cancelled as they make up a significant amount of our income. We have been amazed by the outpouring of support though and we're receiving frequent donations to support our efforts.
I want to help from over the pond, how can I donate aside pay-pal, Paul.. What a devotion, and lift of hope to so many. This foundation touches so many, I am proud for this organization, and your commitment to selflessly help in solidarity to all. peace, thestormy sunshine
Thank you very much Paul, As I do not have a facebook account I will use the justgive one, and I would like to try a go fund me account, it wont hurt to try... Maybe an on line virtual auction, where as items donated stay with the owners until sold, then ship to buyer? I am just trying to think of ideas with the social isolating, and such... This community has so many talented members, Heres to fundraising for just cause... Peace, blessings thestormy sunshine
Thank you thestorm . It is possible for people to sell/auction items to support the charity using ebay - lupusuk.org.uk/sell-for-lup.... I know other people have also used other social media platforms for auctions in the past too.
We've got more ideas for online fundraising we'll be sharing later this week.
