Hi I wrote a couple of weeks ago regarding my fears I may have Lupas. I’ve had stacks of blood tests. I get the results tomorrow. Does a negative ANA test mean Lupas is unlikely?
I have another recent problem. My hands and feet are on fire they feel like they are burning and nothing helps. This has been like this for 4 days now, worse at night they are also a bit swollen it’s awful.
I’m still off work as my fever is still high (I’ve had a fever for 4 weeks) covid is negative.
Does Lupas cause hot hands and feet??

If you have had a fever for 4 weeks then it’s called Fever of unknown origin and you need further investigations to find out the cause. There are lots of medical conditions that can cause this, Lupus is a rare cause.
I think it’s important to make sure you are being investigated properly, has your GP referred you to a Hospital Consultant? It’s important to stay as open minded as possible to a cause. Many auto immune and other diseases can cause these symptoms, not just Lupus.
Burning hands, feet. I believe it’s a kind of neuropathy. And I believe there are dozens of variations of neuropathy so it probably takes a specialist to tell you what kind.
Because I don’t really want any more medication I’m not pursuing A diagnosis but it would be useful to hear what you find out because I’ve had that for a number of years and heard of other people having it as well.
I also get other neuropathy symptoms Like a sensation of ants biting or just other jabbing, stabbing pains mostly in my feet and lower legs. I just cannot face a medication that will add to my fatigue.
