Hi

Doctor requested I send a picture of my eye and says it’s mild blepharitis .

So I need to use my eye drops I was previously prescribed and just look after my eye care which I do but I’ll still take there advice x

Hi Natz36, I get blepharitis from time to time and to help ease symptoms, I hold a folded up hot, wet flannel to my eye and brow area for a few minutes, several times a day. Using cold chamomile tea to bathe your eyes in is soothing too. When out and about (pre-lockdown) I would use the “Blink” range of eye cleansing wipes which are really good. Hope this helps xx

Hi, I have this too, I go to the hospital to see an ophthalmologist and he also said use a hot flannel twice a day. I didn’t find this helpful so purchased Blephasol from Boots and use a tiny bit on a cotton bud and do the eyelids and bottom of my eye as well, I find that cleans them better. Baby shampoo was mentioned to me by the optician but I find the blephasol easier to use.you can also get wipes but I found them more expensive to use. The bottle lasts for ages, I still flare up every so often and have to get an antibiotic from doctor or optician (when they are opened again) I used to be able to get this from the chemist but they won’t sell you it anymore. My optician also said it looked like an infection and an allergy and also gave me drops for that as well. Hope this helps, it’s quite painful when it flares.
