Iâve sent my GP practice the info from this site about how to type up my prescription so I can get the zentiva brand but they seem to not be able to do it correctly?! All they have done is write it on the notes section so itâs printed at the bottom of my request form, the chemist donât even see it. They seem to be reluctant to write it how I showed them to. I copied and pasted what was already written on here. Is there any other way of asking them to do it? They just tell me that they canât, I even sent them the funding information. Do you think Iâd have more luck asking my rheumatologist office to do it? Although thatâs why I got it under shared care in the first place instead of hospital prescription because even they said they canât write a specific name down. My chemist so far have had it in stock but Iâve just received the last box of it and they canât order in a specific one unless itâs stated. Anyone in the same boat had any luck with this?

Thank you, I know Iâll just have to stop it if I canât get it. I couldnât tolerate the Bristol one for more than 3 weeks, too many bad side effects it wasnât worth it.
My GP puts GIVE AS ZENTIVA on the prescription and I have had no problems getting it. I use an independent pharmacy as some big ones use a supplier that donât provide this brand.
Iâm told that the doctor cannot request a brand . Think itâs seen as promoting a brand , but not sure .
You can request they swap to the brand best suited for you at the pharmacy . The can order it in , tell them the why you need this brand , if not helpful , maybe go to another pharmacy , ask them if they have the brand you need before handing over your prescription .
