Hi all, today was a bitter sweet day for me. Anyone who may have read my post of Birds of a feather flock together saw our "Flutter". We went to town today, and on the way handed Flutter over to the wildlife refuge. He has been doing great with us, but becoming to attached to humans. I have been in touch with the refuge for weeks now, as they have been giving us all the care and information on flutter that healed him, and helped us make him healthy! The only problem, flutter was getting too attached to us! So to keep him would be against nature. He began to fly, and we exercised him several times a day and night. This last step the nature refuge told us was his ticket to freedom, and that we succeeded in his care. I have to admit, I cried a little when we gave him to the refuge. They will see to it that flutter goes free and wild safely. Assuring us that we can visit him, and they will send us web photos. Of all natures creatures we have fostered, flutter was so specially unique. In the future here I will post photos of other animals we have fostered, some for life. Please pray for flutter to thrive as he joins fellow fledglings in the natural world... The nature refuge gave us this sentimental solar owl, as a gift for our care in flutter... Fly and be free...My peace and blessings to all. thestormy sunshine:)

You did a grand job there stormy, I’d have cried too as you say, very bitter sweet but you have given back his life he so nearly lost, had you not taken the time and care to foster the beauty.

Lovely sentiment to be given the owl solar light , a reminder of flutters time with you.

Thankyou for the update, I sure hope he thrives And makes it to freedom .

Look forward to seeing your other fosters.

Take care best wishes πŸ€—πŸ¦‰πŸx

Thank you dear Stiff for the inspirations..It just broke my heart to say goodbye. I guess these days we hold everything a little bit closer. I am so very grateful to have had this opportunity. I will be calling them like a mum to ask how he is. When they release him, who knows, maybe he will come by someday.. Be well my friend, and blessed.. Thestormy sunshine:)

Flutter was so lucky to have landed with you. He couldn’t have had a better foster Mum and Dad. Your love and care for him have saved his life and has given him a good start in life.

It must have been very hard to part with him when you’ve grown so attached to each other, but you’ve done the best thing for him and it is lovely you have the promise of web photos.

What a lovely touch that they gave you the solar powered owl. I’ll be praying for his safety and for you too Stormy. πŸ™πŸ»πŸ™πŸ» Take care. πŸ€—πŸ˜˜πŸ’•
