I just want to thank all for replies and pointers. I am not a very assertive person and it took some courage to post. But now I have pointers as to where to go...onwards and upwards. I also wouldn't generalise about GPs - pardon the pun- but I have said as I experienced. I am so grateful Lupus UK which reminds me I need to pay my annual subscription. Just so new to all this. Thank you all for being there.

Hi Rosie_red. I’m so pleased that you summoned up the courage to post your earlier post in the forum. It's actually quite difficult starting to talk about troublesome medical issues (and troublesome doctors) with a bunch of virtual strangers. But now you’ve started, hopefully we can become your stranger friends and help you to feel less alone with all this.

There are lots of lovely folk here...I've learnt so much since I arrived (misdiagnosed for years and with a useless GP - much like you).

Please never feel that you can't share your experience and express how you feel here. This is your safe space and everyone here respects that as such. Many of us have had a mix of very good, indifferent, or appalling medical experiences. We share the bad and celebrate the good - we all love to hear of star GP's and consultants (from a variety of ologies)...'cause that's what we all deserve, have a right to expect. And want for each other. And we understand (sometimes from bitter experience) that things can and do go very wrong sometimes (medical gaslighting is a term that crops up...well...far too often in the forum). So please do continue to share your experiences - whatever they may be (and I sincerely hope for better for you in the future).

Hopefully you now feel less alone and have somewhere you can come to share your experiences and get some much needed support. Keep fighting. Keep posting.

Wish you best of luck with this. This is a very complicated area of medicine with lots of gray area and disagreement. I just responded to your earlier post that you might want to go to a hematologist to get an answer.
