Bianco is going to have a baby.... she is sitting on her nest, not quite permanently yet so we are at least a month away from hatching and a lot can go wrong in that time, the main threat being predators but she has chosen to nest right next to the house under the sitting room window so that I can keep an eye on her!
The last duckling we raised was sprudelwasser, an Indian runner duck. She is currently nesting somewhere in the garden but can’t find her nest at the moment.
Hope that you are all staying positive, you guys have helped me a lot recently so this is my chance to help you! 😊😊

In earlier years a previous partner had a small holding. He had mainly geese and sheep but got ducks later. We used to shut them in a pen overnight, but invariably they would lay their eggs somewhere else as they were free to roam during the day.
I hope you do get a duckling but perhaps the best way to achieve that is to remove the egg and create a hatching box where it can be warm and safe.
It would be so nice to see a duckling. It might imprint on you. 😀
