'Scotland Cares' : 'People keen to take part can visit the ReadyScotland.org website, where they will be able to choose between an NHS scheme for retired medics and a more general scheme for the public.

It is hoped that the initiative, which will be coordinated by the Red Cross, will result in an army of “community reserve volunteers” signing up to help around Scotland.'

It's a tartan version of the scheme running in England so hopefully, yes, it will spread across the world...tension rising in Italy as people are running out of food while in lockdown

Food and med deliveries have begun already south of the border, based on the NHS 'very vulnerable' list, with the army stepping in for logistics xxx

Niiice!

Luckily we have always practiced food (and TP, emergency items, etc.) storage. For us, we have could get by for close to a year if needed. But I’m certain, and I’m praying 🙏this will be over soon. (Weeks, not months?)

Glad Scotland has this going on!

The UK government said today in the daily broadcast that it'll be reviewed, the lockdown will likely be extended past three weeks, and they warned it could be six months before there's a degree of normality on this island...it completely depends on people complying with the Stay Home rule to prevent another surge in transmission xxx
