Ha,ha. No DJ. Lot’s of concerts. Was a bouncer in a popular basement club in my youth (me? A bouncer? Yes! And I wasn’t even old enough to attend the club myself. But they wanted ‘sweet young things’ as this was a very nice establishment.) Too long a list, but I couldn’t help myself.
Haha, that is so funny being a bouncer to a club you were under age for.😂 You must have seen and learned a lot in that role - including a long list of appropriate songs for Coronavirus. 😉 You’ve done some very interesting things in your life Brook. All part of life’s rich tapestry! 👍🏻👍🏻 Keep safe. 🤗😘
It was a three story restaurant. A very nice steak, seafood and prime rib place called Cattlemen’s Wharf. A full fun evening out. Starting with valet service, 7 course meal. We all wore different costumes of different sorts. Each area was decorated with a theme. There was a circular slide with a strobe light you could take to get down into the disco (I hate disco music, always have. Maybe working down there is why?)
Even the disco had themes to the areas of it. But it was a lot of fun and I made best friends for life there.
PS, I met my husband there. He worked there so young too. In the restaurant portion, which is where I started, as a hostess, but had a knack with people and an eye for fake id’s (no one got passed me 💪, 🤣). Then ended up a waitress.

What a lady. Glenn Miller was the US male equivalent. Best wishes Kevin
My Dad was a HUGE Glenn Miller (and all Big Bands) fan. I listened to Big Band music growing up.
She has a gorgeous voice.
Thank you Kevin. Stay well. 🙏
Kevin53 for some reason the system won’t let me reply to your Glenn Miller YouTube link, but thank you. That song brings back memories of my childhood home and my wonderful dad!
Yep that is a brilliant one to sing when others are around😂
My new favourite is isolation by joy division lol. I was just listening to my music the other day whilst drawing and laughed when I realised the irony of what I was actually listening to when it came on. I’m isolating as I’m at high risk, songs like these really help as it’s good to laugh about it
