Hi All

Spotted a post some while back about isolation notes for employers...and the difficulty finding these.

If in need, get one here:

Fabulous! Though you have to have been told to stay home by a medical professional to progress the form...after my appt with rheumy today, he won't be speaking to me ever, ever. EVER again (which is much better than when he does :) ) Thank you! xxx

Yep...holes an gaps...and ever shifting sands...

My understanding is that the NHS are writing directly to vulnerable people with advice to self isolate. No idea when or what the letters will say! Or if the all those concerned will receive a letter. Or indeed if it will be something that is appropriate, acceptable, or required by employers. πŸ€·β€β™€οΈπŸ€·β€β™€οΈ

Self-isolation advice for vulnerable people (rather than contacts or those infected) comes out of government advice and that advice should be acceptable to reasonable employers. But...whoever said that all employers are reasonable! Whoever said that the advice is clear...πŸ€·β€β™€οΈπŸ€·β€β™€οΈ. Whoever said...anything much πŸ˜³πŸ€”πŸ€πŸ€₯πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ.

Knitting with spaghetti, nailing jelly to the wall...πŸ€·β€β™€οΈπŸ€·β€β™€οΈ

Hey ho...πŸ€”

At least the advice to socially isolate has been clarified for those who think it doesn’t apply to them.. . Everything closed from tonight (which actually means tomorrow).

As to your rheumy not speaking to you...nothing worth listening to...so a blessed relief πŸ€₯.

Mind how you go πŸ™ƒx

Yay, I'm with you there πŸ™ƒ...the word 'unprecedented' is cropping up a lot in Govtspeak and the BBC has run out of regular news presenters given by the offering on the 7pm news (not that I'm obsessive, just the sound of any human voice in the background apart from The Archers (aaaaaaaaaaaaaaarggh...oh, that was Nigel falling off the roof, hm :-/ )), but government advice seems to have been updated to include the immunocompromised - not that I've checked in the last ten minutes LOL!

So Monday, yes the NHS should be issuing letters and I suspect (without any inside knowledge! πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ) they will say something along the line of 'it's self-isolation-ultra for you and if you do decide not comply...legal caveats etc etc

I'm off to knit one of Lupiknits ' wonderful coronavirus stress balls with spaghetti...if needs must, I can have it for lunch too! :)

Keep posting, keep laughing, keep well :) xxxx
